Details of when you are attending placement and where you are going are stored on PEMS. You will receive an email letting you know when PEMS has been updated. If you haven’t used PEMS before you should read our user guide.

Contact details and further information about your placement area can be found on PARE. Your placement’s PARE ID can be found under ‘placement location’ on PEMS and is the number beginning PR XXX.

 

PEMS statuses explained:

  • No placement allocated – We will have been informed that you do not require a placement for this block ie you are completing academic work only or have taken a break in study.
  • No current placement available – This means we did not receive enough placement offers from placement providers. We are working with the course team to find an alternative solution.
  • Not clear for placement – If you are marked as not clear for placement this means that we do not have your DBS, mandatory training, immunisation or, if relevant, occupational health referral information.

 

Important information

  • Contact your placement provider two weeks before your start date
  • Note your placement dates – you could have a different start date to others on your course, as well as changes mid placement
  • Check your inbox and junk folder regularly for messages sent from your placement provider
