Practice Education Management System (PEMS)

What is PEMS?

PEMS is the database we use for all students’ placement allocations. Students will receive their placement allocations on this system and be notified once they have been released by email. PEMS will allow you to view previous placements, your placement planning form and any upcoming placements as they are released.

Practice Assessment Record and Evaluation (PARE)

What is PARE?

Students will use PARE to find further information for their placement area, including their contact details. Students are able to search for a placement by looking under the relevant trust or alternatively using the PARE IDStudents will also complete their evaluations on PARE if they have completed a placement in Yorkshire & Humber.

MyEpad/Pebble Pad

What is MyEpad/ Pebble Pad?

MyEpad/ Pebble Pad is a versatile digital platform where you can share and publish content online with users including other students on your course and your academic tutors. You can record audio or video, upload documents and pictures, or embed content from other social media platforms.

PebblePad has many functions. At Sheffield Hallam, it’s typically used to:

· Evidence of your work and competencies in a placement

· Create a portfolio of work

· Build an electronic CV

· Submit assignments to be marked by your assessor through ATLAS, which can be linked to the Blackboard My Grades feature.
