Lyca is from Brazil and works at the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science (ICMC), one of the research and teaching units of the University of São Paulo (USP). USP has been recently ranked the 85th best university in the world (QS World University).
Paul is a chartered materials engineer and chartered scientist with more than 40 years’ experience in understanding, improving and sustaining the fabric of the world around us. Paul is also a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, a Fellow of the Institute of Corrosion, and an Industrial Fellow of the Royal Society and a past president of the Institute of Corrosion.
We are delighted to announce, following a competitive internal Expressions of Interest call, shortlisting and interviews, the appointment of Professor Simona Francese (BMRC/I2Ri, Lead) and Dr Alice Bullas (SERG/SPARC/HRI, Co-lead) as the new Academic Leadership team for the Sheffield Multi-modal Imaging Centre (SMIC).
