Virtual HIPIMS 2021 will be a unique international conference with a focus on High Power Impulse Magnetron Sputtering to address the needs of the evolving community of users. The conference goals are to:
- Promote High Power Impulse Magnetron Sputtering (HIPIMS) as a novel manufacturing technology for surface modification and coating deposition.
- Provide a scientific forum for discussion of the fundamentals of plasma science.
- Exchange ideas for new industrial applications of HIPIMS.
- Connect the academic research community with the industrial world to foster progress of plasma-based technologies.
We are looking forward to seeing the effect of expanding the scope to include a broader range of plasma assisted coating and surface treatment technologies as well as plasma free surface modification techniques will have on the further development of the surface engineering sector.We encourage companies from the surface treatment and coatings communities to take part in our virtual industrial exhibition.
