Healthy and Active 100 Living Well with a Health Condition

It was a pleasure to welcome Mahmud Nawaz, Chair of Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to the AWRC on Wednesday to meet the team delivering Active Together, our flagship cancer prehabilitation programme.

Active Together has supported over 3000 patients across Yorkshire to prepare for and recover from cancer treatment through physical activity, nutrition and psychological support. The Yorkshire Cancer Research funded programme is linked to higher survival rates, substantial cost savings to the NHS, and improvements in health and wellbeing.
