The 11th UK Congress on Obesity (UKCO) comes to Cutlers’ Hall, Sheffield on 17–18 September 2026, with a focus on ‘obesity through different life stages.’

AWRC theme lead Dr Cath Homer is co‑leading the local organising committee for this year’s event, which will bring together two days of talks, symposia and networking opportunities. The call for abstracts is now open, with submissions invited for both oral and poster presentations from all career stages.

Early career researchers: consider submitting to the three‑minute competition. There will also be an early‑career network event organised by Megan Garside and team.

UKCO is designed to encourage innovation, highlight new research, and promote development and best practice. The congress is a great opportunity to present your latest research.
