RESEARCH
The goal is to design an authorization framework that ensures the ethical disclosure of sensitive data and to demonstrate the concept in a smart home healthcare ecosystem.
Motivation: Existing healthcare systems lack adequate access control for the ethical disclosure of sensitive data. Often, the data owner’s consent is not considered, compromising data ownership, autonomy, and privacy.
This study proposes a fine-grained access control mechanism through a publisher-subscriber smart contract to handle sensitive data. The consent-centric privacy model integrates into a consolidated smart contract architecture, considering elements such as Time-Decay Factor (λ), Role-Based Weight Factor (ωᵣ), and Data Sensitivity Factor (γ_d). A mathematical model uses these factors within a logistic function to compute a privacy score. This score dynamically reflects the privacy level based on accumulated actions, adjusted for time relevance, role significance, and data sensitivity.
