New in Blackboard Collaborate: Blackboard site group integration
Share
New in Blackboard
You can now start breakout groups in Blackboard Collaborate using the groups already created in your Blackboard site. When you start a breakout group, go to the Assign Groups menu, and select Course group set. Choose the set of groups you want to use and start the breakout session.
Benefits:
- Using current groups can build on existing student collaboration during a live session.
- Arranging your breakout groups in advance will save time organising breakout groups while a Collaborate session is in progress.
- Attendees can be moved to different groups during a live Collaborate session (for example to balance the size of groups among participants) without impacting on the membership of the existing groups in your Blackboard site.
Please note that this integration only applies to Group Sets created in your Blackboard site, not single groups. A group set can only have no more than 20 groups in it.
