Last week, the School of Sport and Physical Activity‘s Emily Newton and Luke Williams celebrated the Better Learners Better Workers (BLBW) graduation at Sheffield’s Cutlers Hall.

Over the course of the annual Sheffield City Council-led programme, 156 students from 15 South Yorkshire schools, academies and colleges worked with employers to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes that will help them to find success in the world of work.

The Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (AWRC) is proud to be one of the supporting employers. We set participants an annual challenge in which they design physical activity campaigns to support their peers to become more active.

It was fantastic to hear from so many of the young people about how their confidence and ability to take on challenges has increased during the programme.

Congratulations to all graduates!
