Job Opportunities: EPSRC South Yorkshire Digital Health Hub
The Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre will be home to the recently announced EPSRC-funded South Yorkshire Digital Health Hub. The £4m healthcare hub, a collaboration led by Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Sheffield, will will drive the development of innovative digital technologies to improve the way diseases are treated and diagnosed.
It will use cutting-edge research using data from smartphones, wearables, new sensors, combining this with NHS data and using artificial intelligence to develop new clinical tools. You can read more about the Hub here.

Innovation Lead – Digital Health Hub (Fixed term until 01/10/2026)
Grade 7 – £37,386 to £41,931 per annum, dependent on experience
- To provide high level specialist advice and support for the Digital Health Hub ensuring delivery of Research and Innovation projects and training packages for the Hub.
- To work collaboratively as part of the Hub management group, ensuring operational excellence and consistency of practice to support the Deputy Director of the Hub, and the workstream leads in the planning and delivery of Innovation work packages, planning the timetable of delivery, coordinating activities, and ensuring milestones are met on time.
Digital Health Hub Manager (Fixed term until 01/10/2026)
Grade 7 – £37,386 to £41,931 per annum, dependent on experience
- To provide high level specialist advice, to support the Digital Health Hub Directors, in conjunction with the counterpart role based at The University of Sheffield (UoS), ensuring the successful planning and delivery of work packages, planning the timetable of delivery, coordinating activities, and ensuring milestones are met on time.
- To work collaboratively as part of a hub management group, ensuring operational excellence and consistency of practice
Research Fellow: Public and Community Involvement & Engagement in Digital Health Innovation (Fixed term until 31/08/2026)
Grade 7 – £37,386 to £41,931 per annum, dependent on experience
- To manage and extend patient, public and community involvement in digital health research and innovation, with a particular focus on designing, delivering, and evaluating inclusive, meaningful, and innovative public involvement across the multi-partner South Yorkshire Digital Health Hub (SYDHH).
- You will work under the guidance of the SYDHH work package co-leads, Prof George Peat and Lynne Laidlaw, and in collaboration with the SYDHH Managers and Training Lead
