Reaching Higher

Your target for each assessment and module grade, and indeed the overall degree outcome, can shift with your performance and you might change your expectations. Weaker areas can be addressed and sometimes your strengths stumble – always consider if you are setting appropriately challenging targets that suit your capability. This is done collaboratively in your Apprenticeship Progress Reviews but always take advantage of feedback and feed-forward comments after each assessment and the informal opportunities to set new direction, pace and reach in every lecture and seminar and as you reflect. Some assignments provide helpful opportunities or requirements to review specific SMART targets for different clusters of knowledge, skills and behaviours from your Apprenticeship Standard.

Get ready to benefit from the University’s excellent learning support. If you want to develop specific academic, or professional skills further or in a way that better suits you, then the University offers free access to a massive range of additional training resources through LinkedIn Learning. You will need to set up an account, here are the details.

Always keep an eye on areas where you are excelling and set targets for impressive workplace impact where possible – your employer will be keen to see the impact of the apprenticeship and this will be beneficial for your career prospects.

We can help you with nominations for awards, within the University, regionally and nationally if that appeals.
