Grab opportunities

Understand your capacity and the work life balance you are comfortable with, then work within those realistic limits to grab every opportunity. You will have to develop in the role you are being paid to do. However all job-roles have blurred edges and as an apprentice you are expected to explore beyond the limitations of your fundamental duties. So get in the habit of saying yes where you can spot room for growth through new experience. This will help you maximise the knowledge you can gain, the skills you can practice and an ever-more professional set of values and behaviours. At the same time you will be building a critically important network.
