Transitioning to higher education – Apprenticeship Starting Point

Apprenticeships attract people from all backgrounds, from different stages in life and with different ideas about who you are and who you can become. This is all about your potential. You may be stepping straight from school into higher education and also taking on an apprenticeship role in the workplace. Or, you may have experience of higher education, or even working as an apprentice.  The new job role feels like a big step up?  If you have been in the workplace for a while, then the return to education can seem your biggest challenge.

Good news! – you are in great company. As Apprentices, being up for the next step is the first thing you have in common (and your shared success of getting onto an apprenticeship programme!) Whatever happens, the University will work directly with your employer to ensure you get the support you need and celebrate your achievements throughout the journey.

Take these key steps and actions to help your transition:
