Student Support Officer

We recognise that trying to change employer during your apprenticeship can be challenging.

The University wants to provide support in a number of ways , for example to help you maintain a sense of perspective and wellbeing during difficult times.

When we understand how this situation is affecting you and what additional support you need a designated Support Officer will help you with any processes, for example, requesting additional time for any ongoing assignments, or deferring an exam.

If ultimately we need to offer a break in study then the Student Support Officer will discuss this with you and with your Work-based Learning Coach, who in turn will take care of any changes to your funding and inform your current or next employer as appropriate.

The Student Support Officer’s primary concern is your welfare, so let them know what you are going through, academically, financially, emotionally etc.
