Experiential learning through opportunity
On reflection and discussion with his mentor the apprentice realises that he was able to continue his ongoing analysis with a deeper knowledge of the context in which he is to conduct his work. For example, he was able to see how professionals were able to discuss and evaluate the data and interpret the situation to make professional judgements relevant to the apprenticeship skills and behaviours. He records 75% of the 2-hour meeting as off the job training (25% was spent reviewing the data he produced in the first place!)
