Scenario 3 answer

Observation and rotations/placements

In this case the apprentice makes a valid judgement that the whole two hours are attributed as time spent learning critical skills and behaviours to progress towards the End Point Assessment. He later checks this with his Work-based Learning Coach, and they realise that due to the unexpected duration of the procedure the apprentice observations lasted beyond his contracted hours and technically, he has to reduce the time spent in OTJT down to an hour and a half to comply with that rule. The apprentice then remembers that his boss told him to get some recovery time and come into work for 09:30am due to this time in lieu, all the observation time can be counted after all!
