Reviewing your awareness

Your Work-based Learning (WBL) Coach helps you to explore evidence of professional behaviours set out in your Apprenticeship Standard.

There are specific matters to review or discuss in your Apprenticeship Progress Reviews.

  • Review the Apprenticeship Welcome Evening Presentation on these themes – any questions?
  • Review the work you have done to compare British values with your learning outcomes and professional behaviours in our Apprenticeship Standard. Note any ideas for Work-based Learning assessment submissions.
  • Review the regional data provided in this section and consider local specific Prevent issues – for discussion with your Work-based Learning Coach as required in preparation for End Point Assessment.
  • Carry out the LinkedIn Learning exercise on knowing your own values (20 minutes classroom activity – possibly already done).
  • Review the British Values videos in this section and reflect on each approach and impact for you personally.
  • Add a reflection note to your tutor-led values matrix exercise and upload to E-Track.
  • Complete your Active Bystander Training

Consider a value-rich experience for discussion with your Work-based learning Coach at your review.

Identify a recent challenging situation and consider the extent to which your response can demonstrate current levels of professional judgement and the integrity of your values. What can you recognise about areas for development and targets you might discuss with your WBL Coach and your workplace mentor at an Apprenticeship Progress Review?

During the review

With some forward planning you should identify some evidence of one or more professional behaviours to develop your E-portfolio in preparation for the End Point Assessment.

Tip

For target setting, think about your WBL Projects/Research Inquiries that will need ethical review and sensitive treatment of research participants and project stakeholders. How will you use those activities to further develop and evidence your professional behaviours?
